How the calculator works

The lux estimate for indirect light is based on the formula: total strip output (lm) × ceiling efficiency (%) / room floor area. Ceiling efficiency combines room height and ceiling reflectance – a white ceiling reflects 80-85 % of the light, wood panelling 40-55 %.

The number of spotlights is calculated to make up the missing lux. A LedStore 9 W spotlight produces 650 lm and with a 60° beam effectively covers about 3-4 m² at 2.5 m height.
